Fully-funded graduate Assistantships in Civil & Environmental Engineering at
the University of Missouri, Columbia The Department of Civil & Environmental
Engineering of the University of Missouri invites applicants for Ph.D.
studies in Water Resources Engineering starting in Fall 2020. We seek two
skijavascript:colorMode();lled and motivated students to work on:
(1) Simulation of bubble dynamics. Preferred qualifications include
experiences in experimental/theoretical/computational fluid mechanics and
one or more programing languages (Matlab, Python, Fortran, C++, etc.). We
are particularly interested in the candidates who have experiences with
OpenFOAM, LES, DNS, and turbulent data analysis.
(2) Hydraulic and hydrodynamics modeling of rivers and lakes. Preferred
qualifications include experiences in large-scale hydrodynamics models and/
or surface/ground water hydraulic models. The candidates who are familiar
with MODFLOW, SWMM, EFDC, FVCOM, ROMS, Delft3D are encouraged to apply.
