Ph.D. Position at The Pennsylvania State University (Fall 2020)
The research group of Prof. Jing Yang at the Pennsylvania State University
in the Department of Electrical Engineering has one fully funded position
for highly-motivated Ph.D. students. In particular, Prof. Yang recently
received a new multi-year NSF funding which provides long-term and stable
support for the new PhD student.
The research areas include machine learning, statistical signal processing,
and wireless communications. In particular, the candidates are expected to
work on one or more of the following research topics:
1. Multi-armed bandits and reinforcement learning
2. Federated learning
3. Application of AI/ML in wireless communications, energy delivery systems,
healthcare, etc.
More details of Prof. Yang's research can be found at http://www.ee.psu.edu/yang/.
Prospective students with strong mathematical background and analytical
skills are welcome to apply. Experiences with deep learning/reinforcement
learning would be a plus. Interested students may directly send your CV and
transcripts scores to yangjing@psu.edu.
